I have interest in issues related to the design and application of intelligent agents. One of the basic problems facing designers of open, Multi-Agent Systems (MAS) for the Internet is the connection problem, that is finding the other agents who might have the information or other capabilities that you need. Traditionally, MAS involves using the middle agent. This methodology is applicable when the characteristics of environment represented by each agent is simple, and the number of agents in need of cooperation is small. This structure becomes difficult to apply effectively in complex decision environments. In my Ph.D. research, I designed a model of accessing the buddy agent membership in multi agent systems to help agents find their buddy agents and facilitate peer-to-peer communication. This methodology has great application potential in many areas, such as e-commerce and knowledge management.
