Her research interests are mainly in the areas of investments, international finance, institutional investors, and real estate finance. Specifically, her recent work deals with cultural influences on financial decision-making, underdiversification and performance, and the behavior of real estate market participants. Hilla’s work has been published or is forthcoming in such journals as the Journal of Financial Economics, Journal of Banking and Finance, Journal of Corporate Finance, Journal of Real Estate Research, and Journal of Real Estate Finance and Economics. Her research has earned several awards including the best paper award at the Asian Finance Association meetings.
