Research interests are in international finance and corporate governance. Her work has been published in leading finance journals, including the Journal of Financial Economics, Review of Financial Studies, and Review of Finance. She has taught equity investments at Tulane university, cases and readings in corporate finance at Georgia State University, and is now teaching financial management and fixed income securities at UConn. At Tulane, she won multiple teaching awards, including the highly competitive Freeman Student Government Teaching Excellence Award and the Dean’s Excellence in Teaching Award. Prior to pursuing an academic career, she worked as a CRM Project Manager and senior application specialist for Sony Latin America Inc. in its Miami office. She earned her Ph.D. in finance from Georgia State University, an MBA from University of Miami, and a bachelor of science in economics from Southwest Jiaotong University in China.
