Professor Alvis Lo has teaching interests in financial and managerial accounting. His research interests are in the areas of financial accounting and reporting. He has written papers on topics such as the impact of accounting restatements on firms’ financing choices, the effect of a bank’s accounting credibility on its ability to obtain financing and make loans, and how the banking environment of a country affects nonbank companies’ disclosures
