Professor Davis is the author of Keynes's Philosophical Development (Cambridge,1994), The Theory of the Individual in Economics (Routledge, forthcoming), editor of Social Economics of Health Care (Routledge, 2001), New Economics and Its History (Duke, 1998), and co-editor of The Handbook of Economic Methodology (Elgar, 1998). Among the journals he has published in are Cambridge Journal of Economics, Economic Journal, Review of Political Economy, History of Political Economy, Economics and Philosophy, The European Journal of the History of Economic Thought, and Journal of Economic Methodology. He has been a visiting scholar at Cambridge University and Duke University, and was recently Visiting Professor of Economics and Philosophy at Erasmus University Rotterdam. He is past President of the History of Economics Society, and has been the editor of the Review of Social Economy since 1987.
