The Department of Economics and Management (http://www.helsinki.fi/economics-management/contact/ee/index.html) at the University of Helsinki is located on the Viikki Campus. The Department’s areas of competence include food systems and consumption, marketing, rural development and entrepreneurship, and the sustainable use of natural resources and the environment. There are about 45 teaching and research staff at the department, and some 400-500 students study in the following majors: food economics, consumer economics, agricultural economics, marketing and environmental economics. The Faculty’s key areas of education and research are food, agricultural, forest and environmental sciences, and business economics, management and marketing in relation to these areas. The Faculty has 3,200 undergraduate and postgraduate students and employs 500 experts.
