Design Innovation Module: The Design Innovation Module (UDE) is a university-wide course taken by all students enrolled in SIT-conferred undergraduate degree programmes or SIT-Overseas University Partner Joint programmes. This module fosters creative thinking, problem-solving skills, and innovation across disciplines and is offered under the Cluster of Business, Communication, and Design.
Qualifications and Competencies
- A graduate degree (Master or Doctoral) in a relevant field such as design, innovation, engineering, business, or education.
- Demonstrated expertise in design thinking methodologies, innovation management, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
- Experience teaching at the tertiary level, with a record of accomplishment of effective instruction and student mentorship.
- Strong leadership and organizational skills, with the ability to manage complex projects and coordinate diverse stakeholders.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
- Exhibits multi-dimensional thinking. Open to collaboration across different disciplines.
- A passion for innovation and a creative approach to problem-solving.
Principal Duties: The BCD Cluster is seeking for a dynamic and experienced individual to take on the role of Senior Lecture for our university-wide Design Innovation modules (UDE). This is primarily a teaching position and the successful candidate will be expected to perform the following duties including:

Module Management: Assist the UDE University-Module Coordinator in facilitating the development, implementation and organisation of the UDE module; Monitoring and evaluating module effectiveness, collecting feedback from students, faculty, and stakeholders to drive continuous improvement;

Assist the UDE University-Module Coordinator in administering the End-of-Trimester Marks Entry and Grades Analysis for reporting to the Board of Examiners;

Bringing Together the Associate Faculty and Full-Time Equivalent faculty as a Community of Practice;

Teach UDE Modules: providing engaging and interactive instruction that stimulates critical thinking and creativity; Facilitating workshops, seminars, and design challenges to help students develop practical skills and apply design thinking methodologies to real-world problems;

Collating Student Projects into a Repository;

Provide student support and mentorship;

Research and Scholarship: Conduct industry translatable applied research in the field of design innovation, contributing to the academic discourse .
