The Position:

The Department of Business and Management at RIT Dubai is seeking applications for a full-time Assistant/Associate Professor position specializing in Management Information Systems (MIS) and Data Analytics. We are looking for a dynamic and forward-thinking academic who can contribute to the department’s mission of advancing knowledge and fostering innovation in MIS and data-driven decision-making. The ideal candidate will have a robust teaching and research record and will contribute to the growing demand for interdisciplinary and technology-driven business education.

The successful candidate will teach courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels, conduct impactful research, and actively engage in service to the university and broader community.

 Key Responsibilities:

• Teach courses in MIS and Data Analytics, including but not limited to, Management Information Systems, Data Analytics for Business, Business Intelligence and Data Visualization, Digital Transformation and Emerging Technologies, Data Management and Governance, and advanced electives in MIS and Data Analytics.
• Conduct high-quality research and publish in reputable peer-reviewed journals (Scopus Q1/Q2).
• Supervise and mentor undergraduate and graduate students on academic projects and career development.
• Collaborate with faculty across disciplines to integrate data-driven methodologies into various business domains.
• Contribute to curriculum development and program enhancement, ensuring alignment with industry trends and accreditation standards.
• Establish partnerships with industry stakeholders to enhance the practical relevance of the curriculum and provide experiential learning opportunities for students.
• Actively participate in departmental, university, and community service activities.

Required qualifications:

• A Ph.D. in MIS, Data Analytics, Business Analytics, Information Technology, or a closely related field from an AACSB-accredited or equivalent institution.
• Demonstrated excellence in teaching MIS and Data Analytics courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels.
• A proven track record of impactful research, with publications in high-quality peer-reviewed journals (Q1/Q2 preferred).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to fostering an inclusive and dynamic academic environment.
• Experience in integrating technology and innovative approaches into teaching and research.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Industry certifications such as AWS Certified Data Analytics, Microsoft Power BI, Tableau, or similar.
• Professional experience in MIS, data analytics, or related industries.
• Evidence of securing research grants or conducting funded projects.
• Familiarity with AACSB accreditation standards and curriculum development.
• Experience in mentoring students and fostering their academic and professional growth.
• Strong connections with industry and global academic networks.
