The Position:

The Department of Business and Management at RIT Dubai invites applications for a full-time Assistant/Associate Professor position in Accounting and Finance. We seek a candidate with a strong record of academic and professional excellence who can contribute to the department’s mission of advancing knowledge and innovation in accounting and finance education and research. The successful candidate will teach courses across undergraduate and graduate programs, engage in impactful research, and actively participate in service to the department and university.

The selected candidate will play a key role in shaping the accounting and finance curriculum, mentoring students, and fostering partnerships with industry and academia worldwide.

 Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality teaching in accounting and finance courses, including but not limited to, Corporate Finance, Financial Accounting, Managerial Accounting, Financial Markets and Institutions, Investments, Financial Modeling and Analysis, International Finance, and Advanced Accounting and Finance electives aligned with program requirements.
• Engage in scholarly research and publish in high-impact journals (Scopus Q1/Q2).
• Supervise and mentor undergraduate and graduate students on academic and career paths.
• Collaborate with colleagues across disciplines to develop innovative and interdisciplinary curricula.
• Build and maintain active industry and academic networks to enhance program relevance and graduate employability.
• Contribute to departmental initiatives, including curriculum development, accreditation efforts, and strategic planning.
• Actively participate in service to the department, the university, profession, and community.

Required qualifications:

• A Ph.D. in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related field from an AACSB-accredited or equivalent institution.
• A proven track record of impactful research with publications in high-quality peer-reviewed journals (Q1/Q2 journals preferred).
• Demonstrated excellence in teaching a broad range of accounting and finance courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to fostering an inclusive and dynamic academic environment.
• Experience in integrating technology and innovative methodologies into teaching and research.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Professional certifications such as CPA, CMA, CFA, or equivalent.
• Professional experience in accounting, finance, or related industries.
• Evidence of securing research grants or conducting funded research projects.
• Experience in advising and mentoring students at all academic levels.
• Familiarity with AACSB accreditation standards and curriculum development.
• Strong connections with the accounting and finance industry and/or global academic networks.
