LECTURER ABOVE THE BAR IN MARKETING, 4 POSTS,
2 PERMANENT, 2 FIXED TERM
Applications are encouraged for two permanent Lectureships, and two 2-year fixed-term Lectureships in Marketing at the J.E. Cairnes School of Business & Economics at NUI Galway. The persons appointed will normally hold a PhD in Marketing or in an equivalent area.
The persons appointed will have experience of lecturing at third level; relevant research publications in high-ranking, peer-reviewed journals and conferences; and clear contributions related to programme management in a third level environment. They will have knowledge and experience in one or more of the following areas: Digital Marketing, Marketing Analytics, Marketing Research, Marketing Strategy, Selling and Sales Management, Marketing and Sustainability, and/or Global Marketing. An important component of marketing modules is the consideration for ethical marketing and sustainability.
Duties will include teaching, examining and administration in undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, as well as postgraduate research supervision and involvement in the research activities of the Marketing Discipline, School, and College.
The envisaged start date for all posts is the 1st of September 2020.

Salary: €65,453 to €84,522 p.a (applicable to new entrants effective from January, 2011)
(This appointment will be made on the Lecturer Above the Bar scale in line with current Government pay policy)
