The College of Business at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University-Worldwide (ERAU-W) announces an exciting new initiative to establish Instructor positions from numerous disciplines in strategic locations for maximizing student impact across the United States. Specifically, ERAU-W actively seeks to improve student academic mentoring opportunities-which are especially vital to ERAU-W’s increasing population of international and first-time-in-college students. A set of resources designed to meet student needs both in and out of the classroom will transform students into future industry leaders representing the world-class education provided by Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University.
As part of this initiative, the College of Business (COB) seeks highly qualified applicants for a non-tenure-track, full-time Instructor position in College of Business, to be housed within the Department of Business Administration. This is primarily a teaching position that also will serve the needs of the department, including curriculum development and mentoring/evaluating adjunct faculty. Most teaching will occur in the online modality. The successful applicant will work collaboratively across the three Worldwide colleges, with the goals of supporting student academic mentoring. This new faculty member will have a two-course reduced teaching load for the purpose of:
Conducting student academic mentoring
Participating in a core faculty group at one of six physical locations nationally (Atlanta, Dallas, Los Angeles, Miami, San Diego, Seattle) that generate large student populations; the core faculty groups will create a vibrant culture of teaching excellence and student engagement at each of these locations
Hosting student activities and alumni events
Creating hybrid courses that incorporate face-to-face sessions at each location noted above.
The ultimate goal for this strategic hire is to provide a more personalized experience for students, leading to an increase in student affinity with COB and Embry-Riddle while improving rates of persistence to degree completion. Some travel (10-15 %) may be required.

COB offers three Associate’s Degrees (Aviation Business Administration, Logistics and Supply Chain Management, and Technical Management), four bachelor’s degrees (Aviation Business Administration, Logistics and Supply Chain Management, Project Management and Technical Management) with a fifth Bachelor’s degree beginning in August 2018 (Leadership) and eight master’s degrees (Business Administration in Aviation, Engineering Management, Information Security & Assurance, Leadership, Logistics and Supply Chain Management, Management, Management Information Systems, and Project Management) with more planned for the near future. Departments in the College are: Business Administration, Management, Leadership, Decision Sciences, and Technology Management.
Minimum requirements: We desire a practitioner/scholar with strong discipline experience in Business Administration. The minimum requirements are:
Master’s degree/Ph.D. from regionally accredited university in Business Administration or a related field (terminal degree desired).
The candidate must demonstrate excellence in teaching.
The candidate must have a clearly defined teaching philosophy.
The candidate must have a minimum of 5 years combined (practitioner/scholar) experience. Direct evidence of this experience is to be highlighted in the submitted materials.
Willing to travel as necessary for the position (approximately 10-15%).
